Rowing Against The Current!

This past weekend, I was completely remaking one of our web sites for the third time. Just can't get it to look like we wanted it.
First the gif files refuse to work, finally I got them working and some of the pages do not load.
Sitting here at this keyboard I am getting very disgusted. I finally just sit back and start doing some thinking.
I started thinking, that marketing on the Internet is like when I was a lot younger and tried rowing against the current in the Mackinaw river which I grew up by.
The faster I rowed, the faster it seemed the current was running against me. When I finally got exhausted and slowed my pace, the river started winning.
As I sat here thinking about it, I thought how much Internet marketing was like rowing against the current.
You start out by getting your boat IE web site, and then you set up your oars IE ads. The next thing you do is put your boat in the river (web site on the world wide web) and you start rowing IE promoting.
Like the river current if you slow your rowing IE promoting the current IE Internet starts winning.
You must continue rowing IE promoting as fast as you can. Stop for a long rest and you start going the other way.
Sometimes you must pick out a landmark on the river bank IE tracking system to be sure you are moving.
Something about the Internet and marketing makes us keep rowing as fast as we can hour after hour and day after day.
For those that refuse to keep rowing against the current, they get tired and the current starts winning and they just give up and take their boat out of the river.
Don't let this happen to you, keep rowing as fast as you can and you will start winning the battle against the current.
