Niche marketing is the most cost effective way to advertise, while establishing your expertise.

Niche marketing, maybe you've heard of it, maybe you haven't.

Simply put, you need to focus your marketing efforts toward a smaller subset of individuals within a given market, instead of trying to market to all of the individuals within a market.

Here's an example: If your company sells golf clubs, concentrate your marketing efforts on selling golf clubs to ladies, instead of trying to sell golf clubs to the whole golfing community.

Let me be frank; if you're not marketing to a niche, you're doing yourself and your company, a huge injustice.

Niche marketing doesn't require you to re-invent the wheel; it only requires you to focus your efforts on providing better solutions to the problems experienced by individuals within a niche.

Identify Your Niche

Identify a niche, their problems, and the solutions they desire; start researching:

Free Search Engines

Pay Per Click Search Engines

Directories

Forums

Blogs

and anywhere else you think individuals with like desires may go.

Be Cautious

Now, I must caution you; just because, a market may have a subset of people with problems you believe you can solve, doesn't mean, you should immediately jump into this niche.

Continue your research; ask yourself, are the individuals that make up a certain niche easily reachable, highly passionate, willing and able to pay for the solutions you can provide them; if not, it's not a viable niche.

Why All The Research

If you're asking yourself why you would want to go to all the trouble of researching a small subset of a larger market, let me give you the answer in a nut shell.

You can become the big fish in a little pond; the expert in your chosen niche.

Establish Your Expert Status

Establishing your expert status, is as easy as, providing relevant content, products, and services to your niche market.

Expert status within a niche, brings along with it a built-in trust factor, causing clientel to seek you out, instead of you having to search for them; thus, saving you an enormous amount of effort and advertising dollars.

Now, isn't it time you focus your efforts on developing your niche market and your expert status?
