The Power of a Press Release
by Shane Wilson
What is it that we as Internet Marketers want
most when it comes to our products and services?
Exposure! Now I know that there are plenty of
ways to do this but one way that people overlook
is in the form of Press Releases. Done correctly,
a press release can bring an insurmountable
amount of traffic to your site.
A press release is just what the name refers to.
It is an article that explains the who, what, when,
where, how and why of the story that you want to
get out to individuals who may be interested. Now
a press release is by no means a sales letter and
if written as such it is likely that it will be
denied circulation in the media. The media, you
mean the news will possibly pick my release up?
That's the beauty of a press release. If done
effectively, it will attract countless news sources
and inturn they will publish your story in a media
outlet like Yahoo news. Can you see how much exposure
your story would get if published in Yahoo news!
So how do you write a press release and how should
it look? I am glad you asked. I recently written
a press release for my site, the link is below.

I wrote this a few weeks ago and once it was approved,
I had more hits to my site than I could have gotten
anywhere else, honestly. The site above has a tutorial
on how to write a press release that is very useful.
You can find it here:

I hope that you do take a look at this site and start
writing a press release of your own today. Yes, it may
cost a little money to get it put into circulation, but
it is worth it. I have listed below a few good press
release sites to get you started. Once you have
refined your press release and it is good, I advise
you to find as many press release sites as possible and
submit yours. Here are 3 sites that I use:

Now get out there and start submitting those Press
Releases!
