The "Massage Train" - A Great Way to Relieve Stress and Break the Ice

Many students are tense about being in class for a variety of reasons. Many others are naturally shy, and thus reluctant to participate. The "massage train" is an excellent way to overcome both hindrances.

Many students are tense about being in class for a variety of reasons. Many others are naturally shy, and thus reluctant to participate. The "massage train" is an excellent way to overcome both hindrances.
This exercise is best done just after the morning break. Get everyone to stand in front of the class in a row, at arm's distance (preferably in boy-girl order). Then have them place their arms on the shoulders of the person in front of them and rub. You should be in the front of the line (getting your own massage). As the giggles die down (about 2 minutes), ask everyone to turn around and repeat the exercise. The entire exercise takes about 5 minutes.
