Family plans allow the unused minutes of one phone on the plan to be used by another phone on the same network. National cell phone plans cater to frequent travelers who make several long distance calls from various locations around the country.

Prepaid plans are popular as they help a person keep a tab on how much is being spent on the cell phone. Online shopping tends to offer the best deals and prices on various cell phone plans.

Whether a person is a first time user or accustomed to buying cellular plans, surveying the market for the new plans is essential to get the best value and features to suit one's specific needs.
